Beer Sheva

Feb 26 - Beer Sheva  (means Beer = well; Sheva = to live together) is where archeologist have uncovered two-thirds of an ancient city dating from the early Israelite period (10th Century BC).  This is only where Jacob dug his well.

Flora growing in the area (Melisa couldn't pass it by.)

King Hezikiah ordered the building of this water project.  They built it from the top down. Amazing!

At the end of our tour, we took time as a group to pray North to South and East to West (we've seen all four borders of Israel) for the military, the people groups, for protection, for provision and peace for Israel.  Isaiah 44:3  God's blessing on Israel:  "I will pour water on him who is thirsty and floods on the dry ground.  I will pour My Spirit on your descendants and my blessing on your offspring.  They will spring up from among the grass like willows by the water courses.  One will say, I am the Lord's another will call himself by the name of Jacob; another will write with his hand, The Lord's, and name himself by the name of Israel."  Since we have seen all these borders, we prayed that these streams would come together as the Spirit is poured out.
